Actually I have found the documentation quite good, despite being
written as examples. The few times it was ambiguous it was an unlikely
situation to occur in a real user's file and I could always test the
original. I mostly only implemented what I needed myself, so only a
couple of directives.

For example, space, followed by escaped space: "foo @\ bar", does the
first space match multiple spaces, or only one space? That sort of
stuff, not really a big deal for most users.
