More often than not, you want the FTW_PHYS flag when
calling the nftw function. Let's make that the default
in TXR's wrapper.
* ftw.c (ftw_wrap): Default to FTW_PHYS when flags
argument not given, rather than zero, subject to
compatibility option.
(ftw_init): Don't check for FTW_PHYS with ifdef, since
we relied on it being present. And anyway, any nftw
implementation must have that.
* txr.1: Documented.

* args.h (args_decl_list): This macro now handles only
constant values of N. It declares an anonyous container
struct type which juxtaposes the struc args header
with exactly N values. This is simply defined as a local
variable without alloca.
(args_decl_constsize): Like args_decl, but requiring a
constant N; implemented via args_decl_list.
(args_decl_list_dyn): New name for the old args_decl_list
which calls alloca. No places in the code depend on this
at all, except the definition of args_decl.
(args_decl): Retargeted to args_decl_list_dyn.
There is some inconsistency in the macro naming in that
args_decl_constsize depends on args_decl_list, and
args_decl depends on arg_decl_list_dyn. This was done
to minimize diffs. Most direct uses of args_decl_list
have a constant size, but a large number of args_decl
uses do not have a constant size.
* eval.c (op_catch): Use args_decl_constsize.
* ffi.c (ffi_struct_in, ffi_struct_get, union_out):
Likewise.
* ftw.c (ftw_callback): Likewise.
* lib.c (funcall, funcall1, funcall2, funcall3,
funcall4, uniq, relate): Likewise.

Basic idea: when we throw an exception that pertains to a
system error which has an errno code, we can stick the errno
into the memory area of the character string, into the wchar_t
that immediately follows the null terminator. We can do this
because strings track their actual allocation size.
A pair of setter/getter functions to set and retrieve this
value are provided, and all functions in the code which can
set such a code are updated to do so, simply by calling the
newly added uw_ethrowf that drop-in replaces for uw_throwf.
* lib.[ch] (string_set_code, string_get_code): New functions.
* unwind.[ch] (uw_ethrowf): New function.
* eval.c (eval_init): Register string-set-code and
string-get-code intrinsics.
* ftw.c (ftw_wrap): Switch to uw_ethrowf.
* parser.c (open_txr_file): Likewise.
* socket.c (dgram_overflow): Store the ENOBUFS error in errno,
and use uw_ethrowf instead uw_throwf.
(dgram_get_byte_callback, dgram_flush, sock_bind, to_connect,
open_sockfd, sock_connect, sock_listen, sock_accept,
sock_shutdown, sock_timeout, socketpair_wrap): Switch to
uw_ethrowf.

The c_num and c_unum functions now take a self argument for
identifying the calling function. This requires changes in a
large number of places.
In a few places, additional functions acquire a self
argument. The ffi module has the most extensive example of
this.
Some functions mention their name in a larger string, or have
scattered literals giving their name; with the introduction of
the self local variable, these are replaced by references to
self.
In the following changelog, the notation TS stands for "take
self argument", meaning that the functions acquires a new "val
self" argument. The notation DS means "define self": the functions
in question defines a self variable, which they pass down.
The notation PS means that the functions pass down an existing
self variable to functions that now require it.

The ftw function just returns -1 if, for instance, given a bad
path (nonexistent or no permissions). The documentation also
has issues.
* ftw.c (ftw_wrap): If the return value is -1, convert it to a
file-error using errno_to_file_error and throw a diagnostic
exception. This situation can, of course, arise if the
callback function returns -1, in which case it should prepare
a value in errno.
* txr.1: Return value of callbackfn documented better.
Documented exception throwing behavior, and failed termination
if the callback returns -1.

We have a bug in that when an exception occurs in a context
called from obj_print, the guard for stopping continuation
captures across obj_print also unintentially blocks the
unwinding. Let's make the unwinding blockage optional
* unwind.c (uw_unwind_to_exit_point): If a UW_GUARD is
encountered, do not abort if the uw_ok flag is set;
keep unwinding.
(uw_push_guard): New uw_ok argument, initializes the
uw_ok member of a guard frame.
* unwind.h (struct uw_guard): New struct type.
(union uw_frame): New member gu of type struct uw_guard.
(uw_push_guard): Declaration updated.
* ftw.c (ftw_callback): Pass zero as new uw_push_guard
argument: no unwinding across the POSIX library function ftw.
* glob.c (errfunc_thunk): Likewise, no unwinding across
the library function glob.
* lib.c (obj_print): Pass 1 as new uw_push_guard argument:
continuations can't be captured, but unwinding is okay.

When compiling as C++, __USE_GNU is defined even though
we use -ansi and don't specify -D_GNU_SOURCE anywhere.
Glibc headers don't seem to respond to the C++ ANSI options.
ftw.c: Workaround for compiler warning: only define
__USE_GNU if it is not defined already.

* Makefile (ftw.o): Add to OBJS-y conditionally.
* configure (have_ftw): New variable. New configure test
for nftw.

* ftw.c, ftw.h: New files.
* lib.c (init): Call ftw_init, if compiled in.
* txr.1: Documented.
